So yeah the church of Unitology made everything bad, worse, worst and finally terrible when you thought no higher level of doom was even possible.Although it is not entirely obvious, the driving force behind the events of the Dead Space saga is a holy war being waged by the Church of Unitology against EarthGov. Finally, the infection hit the residential sector which is actually 2 inverted cities, for the record, and the population I think they said was close to 2 million inhabitants. Her actions force the 3 sealed transit tubes, that are sealing the mines up, open when she shuts down the power, while also outing station-wide communications systems.
In the Dead Space Mobile game, you play as ol' Eddy Norton (DS 3 character)'s wife who is tricked into actually worsening the situation by the church who had infiltrated EarthGov, as well as used Kara Norton as a pawn. Then, while the infect began and spread into the mines, Tiedmann dispatched Earthgov Security teams to the mines and throughout the Sprawl (DS 2 Multi-player/Severed storyline). Uni's snuck into the mine (I believe in the lore some were actual miners) and then committed suicide to give the markers material to reanimate.
